AMTA greets Ph Gharluxmi on selection for IIS Taekwondo Fighting Chance programme

Imphal, April 19 2026: The All Manipur Taekwondo Association (AMTA) has extended its heartfelt greetings to India international Phurailatpam Gharluxmi on her selection in the IIS Taekwondo Fighting Chance programme.

Gharluxmi (-67 kg category) who grew up at National Sports Academy, Imphal is the only State taekwondo athlete selected to join the Nationwide initiative launched by the Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) to give world class high performance training, said AMTA in a press release.

Gharluxmi, daughter of Phurailatpam Jiten and Romita of Uripok Yambem Leikai, left Imphal for the programme beginning tomor row, said AMTA while extending best wishes to her.

May she receive the best training at the institute and bring laurels to the State and the Nation, AMTA prayed.
