State trio in Indian contingent for Abu Dhabi World Pencak Silat Championship

Imphal, December 16 2024: As many as three State athletes are in the Indian contingent that left India today for the 20th World Pencak Silat Championship and 5 th World Junior Pencak Silat Championship 2024 beginning on December 18 at Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The State athletes who made it to the 60-member Indian contingent are Pukhrambam Ojit (51 to 55 kg), Keidongbam Telheiba (55 to 59 kg) and Haobam Panshangakpa (59 to 63 kg) .

All the athletes will be competing in the tending competition in the 5th World Junior Pencak Silat Championship 2024 .

P Ojit is the son of P Shitaljit and Gambhini of Singda Kadangbam Part I while K Telheiba is the son of K Damu and Angangcha of Singda Kadangband Part 1 and H Panshangakpa is the son of H James and Bidya Leima of Pukhao Khewa Phurju.

Pencak Silat Association of Manipur expressed pride and happiness over the selection of the three State athletes in the Indian contingent and extended best wishes to the trio to perform well at the world championship.
