Imphal, August 16 2025: Double gold medallist Sagolshem Nungsithoi Chanu was felicitated by Apunba Naharol Lamjing Lup and Imphal Turel Football Academy on Friday in recognition of her remarkable achievement at the Asmita Khelo India Kickboxing League in Jiribam.

The young athlete from Uchiwa Makha Leikai, daughter of Sagolshem Premjit and Sagolshem Ongbi Inaobi, clinched two gold medals in the junior category point fight and music form events during the championship held on August 2 and 3 at RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya Auditorium Hall, Jiribam.

Also honoured during the event were Angom Sanatombi Chanu, coach of Little Master English Higher Secondary School, who took part in the championship, and Angom Sanatombi Chanu, who won gold in the music form event.

Expressing confidence after her felicitation, Nungsithoi Chanu said she is determined to carry forward the momentum at the forthcoming Junior National Kickboxing Championship in Himachal Pradesh this September.
