3rd Premier League: SSU on roll, thrash Angtha FC 5-1 for 6th win

Imphal, November 10 2025: Southern Sporting Union (SSU), Singjamei came out all guns blazing to thrash Angtha FC by 5-1 goals for their 6th win in the 3rd Premier League being underway at SSC ground under the aegis of the All Manipur Football Ground.

Having thumped KIYC 2-0 for the fifth win in the previous matches, SSU extended their winning run to 6 games and unbeaten to 7 games courtesy of goals coming from five players.

SSU entered the break with a commanding 2-0 lead with Robert Usham scoring the opener in the 14th minute before Nongmaithem Sushilkumar doubled the advantage in the 18th minute.

After the restart, Angtha FC pulled back a goal in the 52nd minute through Ngangom Dhakeshwor but it proved to be their only goal as Yashir Arafat retained the two goal advantage for SSU after 60 minutes and Y Surchandra made it 4-1 after 67 minutes.

Kongthoujam Monex who subbed in for N Sushilkumar after 70 minutes then scored the decisive goal for SSU 3 minutes into the added time (90+3') .
