Imphal, November 08, 2008: MANIPUR TEAMS of men and women entered final in regue events after defeating their respective semi final matches today in the 19th Senior National Sepak Takraw Championship being held at KhumanLampak Indoor Stadium as it enters its fourth day.

All Manipur Sepak Takraw Association is organising this championship under the auspices of Sepak Takraw Federation of India (STFI) from November 5. In today�s first semi final match of men�s regue event, Manipur beat Assam 2-0 and entered final.

The scores were 21-08, 21-13. The second match was played between Delhi and Mizoram.

Delhi won the match and entered final after defeating Mizoram 2-1.The scores were 21-13, 128-21, 15-12.Manipur and Delhi will fight in the final for the victory.

The third place�s match was won by Mizoram by defeating Assam 2-1.The scores were 21-16, 8-21, 15-07. The first semi final match of women�s regue event was played between Manipur and Nagaland.

Manipur entered final after defeating Nagaland 2-0. The scores were 21-10, 21-04. Assam beat Orissa 2-0 in the second semi final match and entered final to meet Manipur.

Nagaland clinched the title of third place after defeating its opponent Orissa 2-1in the third place�s match.

The scres were 21-07, 15-21, 15-03. In men�s double regue event�s league matches, Manipur beat Tamil Nadu 2-0 (21-13, 21-18), Uttar Pradesh beat Nagaland 21- (20-22, 21-10, 15-11), Tamil Nadu beat Karnataka 2-0 (21-5, 21-9), Nagaland beat Delhi 2-0 (21-9, 21-7), Goa beat Assam 2-0 (24-22, 21-14) and Andhra Prdesh beat Orissa 2-0 (21-8, 21-14). In today�s matches of women�s double regue event, Manipur beat Delhi 2-0 (21-6, 21-16), Assam beat Nagaland 2-1 (21-14, 9-21, 15-12), Andhra Pradesh beatOrissa 2-1 (14-21, 21-6, 15-5), Tamil Nadu beat Maharashtrfa 2-0 (21-12, 21-12) and Manipur beat Andhra Pradesh 2-0 (21-8, 21-12).
