Imphal, October 08 2026: YGC, Langmeidong romped past SFC, Sora 3-0 for the fourth win on the trot in a top of the table contest of the 22nd KK Memorial 1st Division Football Tournament organised by DSA Kakching at its playground.

It was a crucial contest for both the teams, having registered three of three wins each, but YGC went three points clear ahead of SFC courtesy of a hattrick from S Meiteisana.

Meiteisana opened the scoring in the 10th minute before doubling the advantage in the 36th minute.

He then completed his treble three minutes away from time as the Sora side failed to come up with any effective response in the face of tough defence line up of the Langmeidong side.

AIFA cruise to fourth win

Later in a fixture of the 23rd Ksh Leihao Devi Memorial Super Division Football Tournament, AIFA, Irengbam notched up their fourth straight win by crushing YWU, Kakching 4-0 .

AIFA dominated the game right from the beginning and rode on goals from Paramjit (16'), Theophilus (21' P) and Bicky (28') to enjoy the 3-0 first half lead before Yoisana came off the bench in the 65th minute and scored the decisive goal within three minutes.

AIFA then held on to their commanding lead to hand YWU a fourth straight loss in the 6-team tournament.
