Imphal, December 04, 2008: As the pre quarter final of the 52nd Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament 2008, organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) entered its 7th day, the Manipur Brothers' Sporting Union (MBSU), Wahengbam Leikai entered quarter final after defeating its opponent United Sporting Association (USA), Khurai in today's first match.

It was an interesting match as both team played with all their best effort to enter the quarter final round.

Despite of their great effort, players of USA could not make any goal against MBSU.

However, N Dhananjoy of MBSU realised a goal from a ball passed by Paokhomang Hangsing from the right penalty in the 49th minute of the match.

Both team played the match with full co-ordination among the players.

It was their maximum effort and a bit of luck that brings MBSU towards the quarter final round.

K Kangjamba of MBSU was issued a yellow card for his unsporting behaviour during the match, Th Anilkumar was issued yellow card twice and expel from the match.

The second match was played between Nungsai Chiru Youth Welfare Organisation (NCYWO) and Phoudel Youth Club (PYC).

PYC defeated NCYWO 4-2 and won the match.

The first goal of the match was scored by Bikram Singh of PYC from a ball passed by Dhanachandra in the 3rd minute of the match.

Md Riyas Khan of PYC scored the second goal of the match in the 25th minute from ball passed by Dhanachandra from the right top of the D box.

With much effort, Kh Rohonglen of NCYWO scored one goal against PYC from a ball passed by Kh Amos in the 37th minute.

After that, K Premananda of PYC scored one goal in the 50th minute.

The second goal of NCYWO was scored by Kh Rohanglen by heading a ball passed by Kh Keneth from the right flank in the 52nd minute of the match.

Md Riyas Khan again scored another goal against NCYWO in the 68th minute of the match from a ball passed by Bikram.

It was the last goal of the match.

No players of NCYWO could scored any further goal till the end of the match.

The match ended with PYC winning over NCYWO with score position of 4-2.
