ESU trounce SCCC by 114 runs in MNCA Elite Tourney

Imphal, March 04 2025:
Six wickets haul by Chitaranjan Sharma helped ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound trounce SCCC, Singjamei Thongam Leikai by 114 runs in Tuesday's match of the 9th MNCA W Prahlada & W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2024-25 at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Batting first, ESU posted 161 in 39.5 overs courtesy of half-century by Hanjabam Naoba Sharma (60 runs) and captain Sanatomba's 49 runs.
For SCCC, two wickets each were claimed by Rakeshwor Republic Hidangmayum, Bikash Singh and Lishan Meitei Khaidem as Moirangthem Thomas Singh, Basant and Khaidem Joyraj Meitei accounted for one ESU scalp each.
ESU bowlers led by Chitaranjan then bundled out SCCC for 47 in 19.1 overs.
Lourembam Dipu Singh (two wickets) and Chongtham Mehul Shreth and Thokchom Nishikanta Singh (one each) were the other wicket takers for the eventual winners.
