Manipur Cycle Polo Assn announces teams for National Championships

Imphal, January 04 2025: The Manipur Cycle Polo Association has announced names of players shortlisted to represent Manipur at the 45th Senior Men's, 43rd Junior Boys and 39th Sub-Junior Boys National Cycle Polo Championships to be hosted by West Bengal from January 11 to 15.The names of the players who made it to the lists and officials are as follows.

Senior Men: Thangjam Basanta, Sinam Bimol, Alex Aheibam, Salam Khagingamba, Tomthin Rajkumar, Wangkhem Abothe, Sinam Saolin and Nongthombam Premananda.

Officials: Khundongbam Habe Devi - coach and Kongbrailatpam Dhaneshwari - manager.

Junior Boys: Pebam Dhanish, Sinam Bonbon, Thangjam Nongpoknganba, Sanoujam Chingkhonba, Loitongbam Raja, Amakcham Amar, Wanglen Elangbam, Thingbaijam Thoihenba.

Officials Yumnam Ajitkumar - Coach and Koijam Tomba - Manager.

Sub-Junior Boys: Heigrujam Punshiba, Wangkhem Lanchenba, Leishangthem Korounganba, Moirangthem Malemnganba, Denish Aheibam and Ringkey Thokchom.

Officials: Thingbaijam Chakritombi Singh - Coach and Laimayum Rajesh Sharma - Manager.

The association further instructed selected players to report to the team manager for non residential coaching on or before January 7 before they depart on January 10 for the championship to be held at Ranaghat, Habibpur Nadia in West Bengal.
