Imphal, September 03 2024: Catholic School teams, Sainik School and YOSC secured dominant wins on the third day of the 37th Sub-Junior Boys & Girls State Basketball Championship 2024.Catholic School started the boys' fixtures with a comfortable 23-12 win over St Xavier's School.

The Catholic School boys strolled to a 6-2 advantage in the first quarter but stumbled in the second quarter, dropping the period 2-6.However, Catholic School regained momentum with a 6-4 third quarter and finished strong, overpowering their opponents 9-0 in the final quarter.

Sainik School delivered a decisive 54-20 victory over Youth Club, starting with a 19-3 lead.

Despite a closely contested second quarter, which ended in a 13-13 tie, the Sainik School boys came up with a resounding 14-4 performance in the third quarter and wrapped up the win with an 8-0 fourth-quarter result.

In the girls' competition, Catholic School handed out a 24-4 drubbing to LMYUA while YOSC cruised to a 26-13 win over RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya.
