MSL: Amujao's treble fires Elite FA to 5-3 thriller; Heroes sink KLASA

Imphal, March 02 2025: Elite FA and Sang-gai Hereos carried the day in Sunday's clashes of the 17th Manipur State League 2024-25 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Thiyam Amujao Meitei starred with a scintillating hat-trick as Elite FA clinched a pulsating 5-3 win over Rahee UC in a goal-laden thriller.

Amujao set the tone within three minutes, slotting home to give Elite FA an early advantage.

Sm Jabit doubled the lead just two minutes later, capitalising on Rahee's shaky defence.

Amujao struck again in the 18th minute, showcasing clinical finishing, before Mahoting Kashung pulled one back for Rahee UC in the 28th minute.

Undeterred, Amujao completed his hat-trick with a composed finish in the 38th minute, restoring Elite FA's three-goal cushion.

Rahee UC fought valiantly after the break, with Wunganing R Shimray reducing the deficit in the 55th minute.

However, Jabit's swift response two minutes later - a sublime second goal - seemingly put the result beyond doubt.

Moiranthem Abinash Singh's 64th-minute strike reignited Rahee's hopes, but Elite FA held firm defensively to secure a well-deserved victory.

Sang-gai Heroes delivered a controlled performance to claim a comfortable 2-0 victory against KLASA.

Sakil Ahmad opened the scoring within the first minute, catching KLASA off guard with a sharp finish.

Pukhrambam Roshan then doubled the advantage in the 40th minute, capitalising on a defensive lapse to slot home.

Despite KLASA's efforts to rally after the break, Sang-gai Heroes' disciplined backline stood firm, ensuring a clean sheet and all three points.
