Imphal, September 27 2026: Table toppers ESU, Wangkhei will play second placed YOSC, Khurai in the title clash of the girls competition of the 29th State Youth Basketball Championship being underway at Brahmapur Nahabam Basketball Court.

ESU consolidated their place on top of the table today by defeating CYLC, Chingamathak 41-12 for the fourth straight win in the five team competition.

Katherine (16 pts), Nancy (11 pts) and Anjelina (10 pts) led the demolition job of CYLC today as Babylia chipped in 4 points.

Rejina (6 pts), Priyanka (4 pts) and Athoibi (2 pts) were among the scorers for the losing team.

Later in the day, YOSC beat NETA 12-9 in a low scoring encounter for their third win and eventually finished league runners up.

A Angelina (6 points), Th Chaoba (4 pts) and K Tejasvi (2 pts) amassed 12 points YOSC as Ch Korounganba scored 4 points, Ch Abembem scored 3 points and Ng Desopro added 2 points.

LMYVA steamroll YOSC 89-50 to book final ticket

LMYVA's sublime form continued as they prevailed 89-50 over YOSC in the first semi-final to cruise into the final.

Malemson took centre-stage scoring game-high 24 points including a trey as Anderson followed suit with a 19-point finish off one triple.

Th Thoungamba (13 pts), Satish (12 pts) and Kh Chaoba (10 pts) also made double digit figures for LMYVA as Woyipen Chithung (7 pts), Samson (2 pts) and G Ronaldo (2 pts) shared 11 points.

For YOSC, L Kelvin (16 pts), N Lanchenba (14 pts) and L Lanchenba (12 pts) led the scoring for YOSC as M Telheiba (6 pts) and N Ricky (2 pts) gathered 8 points.

Later in the day, ESU, Wangkhei outlasted Model Club, Chingamakha 99-88 in a high scoring semi-final clash to set up the final date with LMYVA .
