FC Raengdai's rise celebrated in public meeting

Imphal, August 26 2025: The meteoric rise of Football Club Raengdai (FCR) was celebrated as the club hosted a one-day public meeting yesterday at Tarung Community Hall, Imphal.

Prof Gangmei Angam, president of the club highlighted the formation and functioning of the club during the meeting, said FCR in a statement.

The event was attended by many renowned Zeliangrong footballers, office bearers of Zeliangrong Football Association, TYDA, Liangmai Sporting Association (ANM), Nungnang Circle Youth Organisation (NCYO), Rongmei and Zeliangrong artistes and others, it said.

The speakers also appreciated the club's remarkable achievements within two and half years of its establishment.

They also shared their thoughts, ideas and encouraged the club to achieve more success in coming years, it said.

Napolean Rongmei, general secretary of the club also thanked everyone present for making the programme a success, it added.

Notably, FC Raengdai were crowned the champions of the 2nd Premier League organised by the All Manipur Football Association.

With the achievement, they have qualified for the I-League 3 .
