Assam Rifles organised a friendly volleyball match

Shangshak Battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a friendly Volleyball Match at Litan in Ukhrul district on yesterday.
The team from Leingangching village played the Assam Rifles team from Litan Company Operating Base (COB).
The match were organised as part of the ongoing efforts by Assam Rifles to encourage interaction and bonhomie between the locals and the Security Forces.
These kind of events not only help ensure peace and tranquility in the area but also serves as a platform to motivate the local talent and spread awareness about importance of sports in health and fitness.
This match is deemed as a stepping stone in order to improve communal harmony between the village communities.
Both the teams took part with sheer interest and the match was played with high spirit and sportsmanship.
The youth and the villagers appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles in bringing the communities together for maintaining peace and cooperation in the area.
Volleyballs were gifted to the youth clubs for promotion of sports.
