Imphal, August 01 2026: AMIMYDO, Mayang Imphal reached the men's final in the 50th Senior State Volleyball Tournament being underway in Muirei, Ukhrul district.

AMIMYDO outlasted SCYC, Senjam Chirang by 3-1 sets (25-19 25-22 23-25 25-21) today in the first semi-final match to book their place in the final.

Earlier in the quarterfinal, AMIMYDO got the better of NYVA, Naorem in straight sets (25-21 25-18 25-22) to seal the place in the semis.

SCYC meanwhile pulled off a 25-20 25-18 25-8 quarterfinal win over NSU to set up the semi-final date with AMIMYDO .

The day also saw YMDO beat MYC 25-17 25-15 25-23 and MPSC beat EAGLE, Ukhrul 25-16 25-18 25-12 in the other quarterfinal matches to reach semis.

KYLSC vs SCYC, TRYVC vs MPSC in women's semis

The semi-final line up of the senior women's competition was also completed today with the conclusion of the league round.

KYLSC topped group A and will play Group B runners up SCYC in the first semi-final match while Group B winners TRYVC will play Group A runners up MPSC in the second semi-final match.

MPSC beat MYC, Moibung Khunou 25-14 25-12 25-13 in a Group A match to keep their semi-final hopes alive as TRYVC beat IGO, Oinam 25-14 25-12 25-8 to finish on top of Group B .

In other Group A matches, MRC, Mairenkhong beat TNVSA, Tangkhul Naga Valley 25-16 25-13 25-18 and MYC beat TNVSA 25-23 25-22 22-25 25-16 .

In another Group B match, SCYC beat CYCC, Chandel 25-23 25-23 25-17 to seal their place in the semis as group runners up.
