Imphal, July 25 2024: Angtha FC ran riot against FC Imphal City while YDO outplayed YWC 3-1 in Thursday"s league round matches of the 3rd AMFA CUP 2023-24.Angtha FC inflicted a 6-0 thrashing on FC Imphal in their Group A encounter at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

After a frustrating first - half contest, Angtha FC got their act together in the second period and came up with a ruthless six-goal barrage against their opponents.

Konthoujam Donel Singh kickstarted the second-half blitz with a 47th-minute opener, then Tensubam Brucelee Meitei extended the lead in the 60th minute before Konthoujam Dhruv Singh upped the ante by scoring their third goal in the space of nine minutes.

Angtha FC were unstoppable, with Kongkham Thoithoi Meitei making it 4-0 in the 78th minute and Shilngamba Shogolsem adding their fifth goal in the 88th minute, before Thoithoi collected his second goal just before the end of stoppage time for their emphatic win.

Angom Bisan Singh netted twice to steer YDO to a 3-1 victory against YWC in the other Group A match.

Bisan opened the scoring nines minutes into the game and went on the double their advantage in the 20th minute as Huidrom Milan Singh tripled their lead in the 76th minute.

Thiyam Rajpol Singh narrowed the deficit for YWC in the 84th minute, but it was too late for his side.
