Radhamani, Lanchenba strike gold as Manipur finish Junior Boxing Nationals with six medals

Radhamani Longjam and Moibungkhongbam Lanchenba Singh clinched gold medals as Manipur wrapped up their campaign with six medals at the 6th Junior Boys' and Girls' National Boxing Championship 2025, which drew to a close at the SAI NBA in Rohtak, Haryana, on Wednesday.
Radhamani dominated the ring in the girls' 57kg category, outpunching Harshita Kumari of Himachal Pradesh in their gold-medal bout.
The state boxer outclassed her opponent with a 5-0 verdict in the final.
Meanwhile, Lanchenba triumphed over Piyush of SSCB 3-2 in a closely contested final of the boys' 50kg category.
In addition to his gold medal, Lanchenba earned the best boxer accolade in his weight category.
Additionally, Lairenlakpam Ambekar Meetei (48kg), Leimapokpam Mahesh Singh (75kg), Riya Heikham (50kg), and Thoudam Daina Devi (63kg) all secured bronze medals.
Manipur's contingent consisted of 12 boys and nine girls.
The boys' team was coached by Y Priyokumar and Gyanendra Sharma, while the girls' squad was led by coaches L Kishan Singh and L Sunilkumar Singh.
