Imphal, May 24 2009: As the 1st State Level Men and Women Open Hockey Tournament, 2009 organised by the Super Sporting Association (SSA), Charangpat at the ground of Charangpat High School, entered its third day, COSMO, Wangkhei and SSA, Charangpat won their respective matches.

The first match today was played between COSMO, Wangkhei and YCCIC, Kontha Ahallup.

COSMO beat YCCIC 6-0 and won the match.

Players of COSMO played the match dominantly from the very beginning.

They played the match with full coordination among themseleves and determination to win.

On the other hand, YCCIC's players showed a very poor performance in today's match.

They found it hard to tackle the various attacks of COSMO.

It has became impossible for them to tackle the players of COSMO who played the match with skillfull tactics.

The first goal of the match was scored in the 5th minute of the match.

It was scored by Th Manjeev of COSMO.

He later scored another goal in the 13th minute against YCCIC.

AK Raju of COSMO also scored two goals in the 24th and 29th minutes of the match.

M CHingkheinganba and Y Joychand also scored one goal each against YCCIC in today's match.

Chingkheinganba scored his goal in the 31st minute while Joychand scored his goal in the 50th minute of the match.

On the other hand no players of YCCIC could not scored any goal against COSMO and lost the match by 6 goals.

SSA, Charangpat and SLO, Bishnupur played the second match today.

The match was won by SSA after defeating SLO 4-2 .

Both teams' players played with full determination to win the match.

It was hard for them to dominate over one another as both of the teams' players played the match with almost equal skills and tactics.

However some lack of coordination among the players of SLO were seen during the first half of the match.

The first goal of the match was scored by Th Rocky of SSA in the 22nd minute of the match.

With one goal ahead of them, players of SLO tried hard to equalise the score.

But their hopes were soon deterred as Rocky repeatedly strike two goals against them in the 31st and 35th minutes of the match.

In their best effort to equalise the score position, L Surchand of SLO managed to scored back one goal against SSA in the 43rd minute of the match.

Later, A Suraj of SLO also striked one goal against SSA in the 46th minute of the match.

With two goals registered against SSA, SLO players' hope began to rise.

But soon, their hipe shattered when Rocky again striked one goal against them in the 59th minute of the match.

No further goals were scored by any players of both team till the eand of the match and the match concluded with SSA, Charangpat winning by two goals.
