CRAU, RFCC win in Bpr U-13 Boys Football League

Imphal, February 24 2025: CRAU, Leimapokpam and RFCC, Keinou emerged victorious in today's matches of the 2nd H Panthoibi and H Tomba Memorial U-13 Boys Football League being organised by DSA Bishnpur at Ishok playground.

In the 6th match of the tournament CRAU, who suffered a narrow 2-3 loss to Ishok FC in the opening encounter, pulled off a 3-1 win against Khunpham Youth Voluntary Organisation (KYVO) and Social Welfare Centre (SWC), Khunpham thanks to a treble from Nongmaithem Tolenkhomba.

Nongmaithem Tolenkhom-ba opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the match for CRAU but their lead was cancelled the next minute with his compatriot Yohenba Namoijam conceding an own goal.

Tolenkhomba carried forward the momentum and retained the lead for CRAU after 25 minutes before scoring his third four minutes later and giving CRAU a 2-goal cushion.

KYVO&SWC failed to reduce the margin despite chances in the second half and eventually the game ended 3-1 in favour of CRAU.

Later in the day, RFCC staged a fightback in the second half after trailing behind by 1-2 goals to seal a 3-2 win over United Football Club (UFC), Bishnupur.

RFCC drew first blood thanks to Reonardo Huidrom who converted a fine chance in the 13th minute but his compatriot Lairenjam Roshan poured cold water on their effort by netting into his own net in the 31st minute.

With the score levelled at 1-1, UFC kept pressing and entered into the break with a 2-1 lead thanks to an added time goal from Mongjam Mahesh (35+2') .

RFCC however did not lose hope and put in more effort after the break and drew level through Bipin Thingbaijam in the 39th minute before Reonardo Huidrom had his second goal in the 57th minute and put RFCC ahead yet again.

RFCC then held off UFC's later charges to walk away 3-2 winners.
