State Archery Championships Melody, Rohit bag sub-junior recurve event gold medals

Imphal, October 22 2024:
Melody of NSA and K Rohit of SAIRC clinched gold medals in the sub-junior girls and boys' individual events in the State Archery Championships that concluded today at RCC ground, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
S Melody of NSA beat L Rabina 6-4 in the final round to secure the gold medal in the individual girls recurve event as Y Sanamanbi Chanu of ESU settled for the bronze medal.
K Rohit of SAIRC and P Chongtham of BAA however produced a tight contest in the individual boys final round and were locked at 5-5 before K Rohit emerged 10-9 winners in the shoot-off.
Kh Nelson of NSA bagged the bronze medal in this event.
Indian Round
Suprina Th of NSA notched up the individual sub-junior girls Indian Round competition title as she defeated H Roshni of AAC 6-0 in the final round while O Tanuja of YAC bagged the bronze medal.
H Rupachandra of UYSC in the meantime clinched the boys gold beating Y Jackshon of KMAC 6-4 in the final round.
Y Bimolchandra of LMLCC settled for the bronze medal in this event.
Compound event
Senyai Thongam of BAA clinched the sub-junior girls individual compound event gathering 129 points as Emerald Hemam of SAC gave a tough fight scoring 128 points to settle for the silver medal.
T Gracia was able to win the bronze medal in this event.
Meanwhile, K Punanda of AAA shot gold in the boys' individual event scoring 142 points while Lanngamba Mutum bagged the silver medal shooting 135 points.
RK Priyobarta of UAC bagged the bronze medal in this event.
Senyai Thongam also clinched the 50+50 m distance competition gold scoring 676 points as her compatriot S Stelina finished second to win the silver medal with 665 points.
T Gracia of AAA settled for the bronze medal with 643 points.
In the boys' 50+50 m competition, RK Priyobarta amassed 688 points to earn UAC a gold medal as Lanngamba Mutum of AAFC shot 682 points to win the silver medal.
Ch Malemnganba of SAC picked the bronze medal in this competition with 682 points.
