Imphal, October 21 2025: The Department of Sports, Manipur University has announced the university team who will be participating in the All India Inter University Yoga Tournaments 2025-26 for men and women to be hosted by VELS Institute of Science and Advanced Science in Chennai and Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana, Bangalore respectively from November 24 to 28.The athletes who will be representing Manipur University at the said tournaments are as follows.

Men

Traditional Individual: M Malemnganba of Thoubal College (Reserve : Sapam Rishikumar of NB College)
Rhythmic Yogasana Shivananda Thiyam of NB College
Traditional Team L Anilkumar of MU, P Mahek of NB College, Roshan Elangbam of MU, Salam Philip of MU, L Brajamani Sharma of MU, and Yambem Rohit of MU (Reserve : L Kemerun of MU and Longjam Tyson of NB College)

Women

Traditional Individual: N Thajamanbi of MU (Reserve : Jenfer Thongam of TS Paul Manipur Women's College)
Rhythmic Yogasana Oinam Jeshmi of TS Paul Manipur Women's College (Reserve : Wangkhem Mona of NB College)
Traditional Team: A Susmilia of MU, M Devikarani of MU, Oinam Nineeta of MU, M Rojipriya of MU, E Sanatombi of MU, Meenakshi Taorem of NB College (Reserves M Kamala of NB College, and Tejashri Haobijam of NB College)

The selected players should report to the office of the Assistant Director of Sports, MU on October 22 by 11 am for further details and coaching, said an office order issued in this regard.
