AIU Sports ID now mandatory

Imphal, August 20 2026: An AIU Sports ID is now mandatory for all student-athletes participating in inter-university sports competitions under the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) digital management system.

In a major step towards modernising University Sports Management, AIU has recently launched the "AIU Sports Portal and Athlete Registration System" to streamline, digitize, check fraudulent participation and enhance the overall efficiency of Inter University Sports Tournament.

Endorsing the same, Manipur University Sports Committee has informed all institutions concerned to register all their athletes wishing to participate in MU Inter College and AIU Inter University Tournaments.

Registration can be done online via https://sports.aiu.ac.in and involves payment of Rs 118 (including 18 pc GST) registration fee.

Athletes need to complete their sports profile, upload necessary documents, and make the digital payment before the sports in-charge or director at respective university review and approve the applications online.
