SWC crush KYWAC in Kakching DSA Trophy

Imphal, August 18 2024: Both H Boynao and A Bisan scored a brace to steer SWC (Waikhong) a 5-0 triumph over KYWAC in the opening match of the 18th DSA Trophy Invitation Football Tournament 2024, which got underway at DSA Kakching playground on Sunday.

H Tombi set the tone for the rout with an 8th-minute opener, and then Boynao doubled their lead in the 31st minute.

Bisan upped the ante with a double, making it 3-0 in the 51st minute and netting their fourth goal in the 65th minute, before Boynao scored his second and team's fifth goal in the 81st minute to give SWC a resound start to their campaign in a Group C encounter.

On Monday (August 19), SWC (Keirak) will take on SRDC while AIFA will meet KFC in Group A fixtures.

The opening ceremony was attended by Robert Singh Kshetrimayum, secretary Public Works Department, and Dr Yengkhom Ashok Kumar Singh, managing director Jivan Hospital, as chief guest and guest of honour, respectively.
