MNCA names State squad for 1st NE Little Masters Trophy 2025

Imphal, April 18 2025: The Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA) has announced the State team for the 1st NE Little Masters Trophy 2025 beginning tomorrow in Guwahati.

The team comprising as many as seventeen U-14 players and 5 support staff left Imphal for the tournament to be hosted by the Assam Cricket Association yesterday, said MNCA in a notification.

State lads who made it to the team include Yumnam Tomthingnanba, Chabungbam Tyrus, Konthoujam Simon, Khundrakpam Korounganba, Sagatpam Telheiba (vice captain), Khutheibam Firdos, Potsangbam Jeet, Thongam Priyojit, Mayangmayum Mujamin, Khumanthem Rajbir, Seram Daniel (C), Shohel Akter, Pheiroijam Bedabiyas, Ningthoujam Bidyananda, Thongam Rahul, Farhan Ahmed and Nongmaithem Lamnganba.

They are being led by the support staff comprising coach Namoijam Lokeshor, assistant coach RK Jotish Singh, Lamabam Somola (manager), Nepram Joylalita (physio) and Toijam Bikenson (trainer) .

Manipur are clustered with Tripura, Sikkim and Nagaland in Group B pot of the 8-team league cum knock-out tournament.

Hosts Assam are meanwhile drawn alongside Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Mizoram in Group A .

Manipur will play Nagaland in the opening match at ACA CA ground , Fulung, North Guwahati on April 21 before facing Tripura in the next match on April 23 at Annexe Ground, ACA Stadium, Guwahati and Sikkim on April 26 at Annexe Ground, ACA Stadium in the final league match.

Top two teams after the league round will advance to the semi-finals scheduled on April 28 before the title clash slated for April 30 .
