Imoinu FC drub MEMA FC to win KATO Trophy

Imphal, June 17 2025: Imoinu FC won the 6th KAYO Trophy with a comfortable 3-0 triumph over MEMA FC in the final at Kumbi Kangjeibung Ground on Tuesday.

Kishan set the tone for the rout with a 15th-minute opener, before Naocha doubled the lead just five minutes later.

An own goal by MEMA's Kabiraj in the 38th minute sealed a comfortable victory for Imoinu FC .

As champions, Imoinu FC took home a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh along with the trophy, while runners-up MEMA FC received Rs 50,000 and a consolation trophy.

Individual accolades were also awarded, with Imoinu FC's Kishan Macha named player of the tournament.

Teammate Jackson claimed the best goalkeeper award, while MEMA FC's Kabiraj was recognised as best defender.
