U17 Boys' Subroto Cup Manipur off to flying start, crush RMS 15-0

Imphal, September 15 2026: Manipur got off to a rousing start in the 65th Subroto Cup Pool E campaign for U17 boys this morning at Tejas Football Ground (TFG) in New Delhi.

The State team represented by AG Memorial School of Thoubal dominated their opening match against Rashtriya Military School (RMS) before emerging 15-0 winners thanks to Thoungamba's seven-goal salvo.

Victor was also at his best to net 4 goals in this one sided encounter as Morchando added twice.

Compitison and Athoibi also found their names on the scoresheet for adding a goal apiece.

Manipur will play Telangana in the next match tomorrow from 6.30 am before playing Tripura on September 17 .

39 teams clubbed into 8 pools are participating in the tournament and the table toppers will advance to the knock-out round.
