Imphal, January 15 2026: Manipur won a gold and a silver on day 3 of the 14th National Sub-Junior Taekwondo Championships at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi today.

Manipur boys won the gold in the poomsae group event, and Sarangthem Shinthangamba bagged the silver in the U-35 Kg kyorugi event.

The boys' poomsae team members include Naorem Leishemba, Bidyajit Haobijam and Trilok Ningombam.

Manipur has emerged as overall team runners up in poomsae.

Earlier, Nongthombam Lamnganbi bagged a gold in the girls' individual poomsae event, and RK Thoihenbi bagged a bronze in the U-38 Kg category kyorugi event.

Naorem Leishemba bagged a silver for Manipur in the individual poomsae event as Laishram Leo (-38 Kg) bagged a silver and Ningthoukhongjam Sarina (-47 Kg) claimed a bronze medal in the kyorugi event.

Manipur have so far amassed 7 medals- 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze.
