P Yohenba wins senior men's foil gold at 4th IE District Level Fencing C'ship

Imphal, May 14 2026: The 4th edition of Imphal East District Level Fencing Championship kicked off today at Fencing Hall, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.

The opening day of the championship saw P Yohenba of YDO clinched the senior men's Foil gold by defeating U Premjit of SEYO in the final as Rahul Seram of KF A and W Roshan of YDO settled for the bronze medals.

In the senior men's Epee competition, Ramakanta of SWC sealed the gold medal by defeating Th Phemton of KFA in the final as Mexi Thokchom of KHSC defeated Saion Ningombam of Poloi for the senior men's Sabre gold medal.

Meanwhile in the senior women's Foil competition, T Manganleibi of YDO clinched the gold medal by defeating compatriot Dayarani N in the final as KHSC's H Tonibia and M Geetarani bagged the bronze medals.

S Chingkheinganbi of KFA on the other hand picked the Epee gold medal by defeating compatriot H Linthoi in the final while SEYO's K Jenita and N Jazzy grabbed the bronze medals.

The day also witnessed GA Sinlemba of KHSC beat Y Tomthinnganba of KFA in the mini boys' Sabre gold medal clash as Selina Saikhom of KFA got the better of Ng Lingjelthoibi of Poloi for the mini girls' Sabre gold.

In the children's category competition, Elison S of Poloi thumped K Bedaraj of YDO for the boys' Foil gold as Dushila L of YDO beat Likla Kh of Poloi in the girls' Foil final.

Diana Ch of KFA, in the meantime, secured the girls' Sabre gold by defeating E Malemnganbi of SEYO in the title clash.

The championship will run till May 17 .
