PFC squeeze into last-four round despite 1-2 loss to WALYDA

Imphal, October 12 2025: PFC, Tokpaching squeezed into the last-4 league round of the 21st KK Memorial 1st Division Football League despite suffering a 1-2 loss to WALYDA, Wanagai in the final Group A match at DSA Kakching Playground.

Courtesy of the consolation goal scored today by Manithoi, PFC were able to finish Group A runners up behind UBSA, Mantak who finished on top with 11 points from 3 wins and 2 draws in the league stage.

Eventually both the teams qualified for the semi-final league round.

Bishownath (35+2') and Bishan (47') were on target in WALYDA's win today before Manithoi scored the consolation goal for PFC in the 51 st minute.

With the win, WALYDA finished fourth in the 5-team Group A league competition as KFC, Kakching their league campaign in the rock bottom with just a point off a goalless draw with WALYDA earlier.

UCC, Kakching will play AIFA in the Group C league winners deciding match tomorrow.
