State Senior Basketball Championships : YOSC prevail 34-7 against DSWC in women's opener

Imphal, November 11 2025: YOSC, Khurai kicked off the women's campaign in the 25th State Senior Basketball Championships with a comprehensive 34-7 win against DSWC today at Brahmapur Nahabam Basketball Court.

Jannat played a pivotal role in sealing the YOSC's win as she added highest 12 points as S Esther added 10 points.

Tutu, Tolika and Merina also contributed 4 points apiece to set up the victory for YOSC .

Meanwhile, Laieza scored three points, and Divena and Soniya added two points apiece.

In the third Group A match of the senior men's competition staged later, BDBBA beat CDBBA by 46-39 points before CDC beat TDBBA 55-38 in another Group A match.

Meanwhile in the fourth Group B match, ESU beat YOSC by 49-47 points for the second straight win.

In the men's matches staged late in the evening yesterday, TDBBA beat CDBBA and CDC beat CYLC 65-48 in Group A matches as Youth Club beat Wilders' Club 58-33 in the third Group B match.

The tournament named after the State Bird - Nongin, symbolizes courage, unity, and teamwork - echoing the spirit of Khelo India - Sports for Peace and Development, said a statement issued by the organisers.
