Model teams win at State Basketball Cship

Imphal, August 07 2025: Model Club's sub-junior boys and junior men's teams recorded commanding victories in their respective matches at the 38th State Sub-Junior and Junior Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls 2025 on Thursday.

In Game No 25 of the sub-junior boys category, Model Club defeated YOSC 56-32 in a dominant display.

The team took an early lead, edging the first quarter 15-12, and continued to assert control throughout the game.

Their strong defensive structure and efficient offensive transitions saw them gradually widen the gap, sealing the match with a powerful 13-4 run in the final quarter.

Later in Game No 24 of the junior men's category, Model Club delivered a strong performance, overcoming TDBBA 58-44.After a narrow 15-16 deficit in the opening quarter, Model Club bounced back with confidence, taking control in the second (12-8) and third (18-5) quarters.

Though TDBBA narrowed the gap with a strong fourth-quarter performance, Model Club's earlier momentum proved decisive.
