SSU thump KIYC 2-0 for fifth win in 3rd Premier League

Imphal, November 03 2025: Southern Sporting Union (SSU), Singjamei notched up their fifth win and extended their unbeaten run in the 3rd Premier League to 6 games as they thumped Kshetri Iril Mapal Youth Club (KIYC), Kshetri Awang by 2-0 goals today at SSC ground, Sekta.

Having edged United Chandel FC 2-1 for the fourth win in the previous match, SSU rode on goals from Md Shuaib (24') and Yumnam Surchandra Meitei (90') to seal the fifth win in 6 games.

It was fifth straight loss in 6 games for KIYC who opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw with ASUFII FA .

Later in the day, Social Sporting Club (SSC), Sekta crushed Angtha FC by 5-1 goals for the second win in 6 matches.

SSC entered the break with a 2-0 lead courtesy of a brace from Sapam Basanta (21', 45+2') before Sapam Somorendro (50', 85') and Sapam Bishoijit (60') ran riot in the second half to seal the 5-1 win.

The consolation goal for Angtha FC was scored by Kongthoujam Premananda off a penalty kick in the 54th minute.
