Lambung, Damjol prevail in 4th Kapaam Invitation Cup 2024

Imphal, July 02 2024: Lambung beat Kapaam-B by a 3-1 margin while Damjol overcame Chandel Christian in a penalty shootout in Tuesday's fixtures of the 4th Kapaam Invitation Cup 2024 in Chandel district.

Moshimla, Nicky and Shel-pa all got on the scoresheet in Lambung's 3-1 win over Kapaam-B.Moshimla opened the scoring in the 15th minute, Nicky doubled their advantage in the 30th minute and Shelpa rounded off the scoring in the 38th minute.

Kamaanden scored for Kapaam in the 78th minute but it was too little, too late.

Later in the day, Damjol outscored Chandel Christian 5-4 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 deadlock.

It was Chandel Christian who gained the upper when Sr Kagaly converted in the 11th minute.

Damjol levelled the score in the 64th minute through Goulen, resulting in the penalty shootout.

In the shootout, Damjol delivered on all of their five attempts to clinch the game.

Goulen, Albert, Anthony, Darmilen and Wilbirth all converted their shots in Damjol's 5-4 shootout win over Chandel Christian.
