MGT Motor, PDNS defeat opponents

Imphal, March 01 2013: MGT Motor and Prestige Design and Service (PDNS) registered their first win at the 1st Xenoh Corporate Football Challenge 2013 today at TBSFA Sports Complexc, Taobungkhok Makha Leikai, Imphal West.

The first match today was played between MGT Motor and Aircel of Group B.The match was dominantly played by MGT Motor giving little chance for Aircel to strike back.

However, Aircel put up a tough fight in the first half of the match.

P Dinesh of MGT Motor drew the first blood of the match in the 4th minute of the match.

Unable to open their goal account, Aircel players fought back proving themselves as a tough opponent.

They tried their best and opened their goal account in the 29th minute of the match.

The first goal of Aircel was scored by Bimol.

After two minutes, he scored another brace in the 31st minute and took his team in the lead.

On the other hand, MGT Motors who had an upper hand from the beginning of the match felt shocked with the two successive goals of Aircel and fought back.

As a result, Dinesh who drew the first blood scored his second goal in the 35+1 minute and equalised the score.

In the second half, MGT Motors played the match with displaying their dominant nature.

On the other hand, Aircel players who fought valliantly in the first half looked exhausted and put up a poor fight in the second half.

Taking full advantage of the situation, MGT Motor scored three goals at regular interval and won the match.

In the second half, Onliring scored one goal in the 42nd minute of the match while Dinesh scored two goals in the 61st and 65th minute.

Later, in the second match today, Prestige Design and Service (PDNS) defeated Classic Hotel with a solitary goal in the first leage match of Group C .

The match was a keenly contested match between the two teams each trying to outsmart one another throughout the match.

As they played the match with equal skills and determinations, they found it hard to outsmart one another and score goals.

As a result, the first half of the match concluded in a goalless draw.

Later, in the second half, Milan of PDNS scored the winning solitary goal of the match in the 52nd minute of the match.

Classic Hotel players who were shocked by the sudden goal of PDNS tried their best to equalise the score.

But they could not score their equaliser till the final whistle of the match and the match concluded with PDNS as winner.

World Gym and Endeavour of Group D will play the first match tomorrow at 1 pm while Blackberry and Apunba Fitness Centre will play in the first league matc of Group E at 2.45 pm tomorrow.
