Triathlon Assn of Manipur greets 6 athletes on qualifying for National team for Asian C'ships

Imphal, August 30 2026: The Triathlon Association of Manipur (TAM) has extended heartfelt congratulations to six State athletes who have qualified for the Asian Championships to be held in Aqaba, Jordan from November 25 to 29 .

Notably, 6 triathletes- Ngangom Dewanjit, Saikhom Bishworjit, Laikhuram Biten, Sarungbam Athouba, Thokchom Gautam, and Nongmaithem Nelshi Devi have secured their places in the National team for the continental event.

In a press release, TAM said that their selection is a proud achievement and reflects their dedication, discipline, and outstanding performances at the ITF National and Age Group Triathlon Championship 2026, Pune.

TAM also appreciated the hard work of the athletes, coaches, managers, parents and everyone who supported their journey.

Their qualification for the Asian level championship is a significant milestone and an inspiration for young triathletes across the State, it said while extending best wishes to the athletes for the upcoming Jordan event and other future championships to come.
