MU Inter College Kabaddi and Archery Tournaments from September 22

Imphal, August 30 2025: Manipur University Sports Committee is set to conduct MU Inter College Kabaddi and Archery Tournaments from September 22 to 23 .

The tournaments will also serve as the trial for the preparation of university men and women's kabaddi and archery teams in view of the East Zone Inter University Kabaddi Tournament and the All India Inter University Archery Tournament 2025-26.The zonal kabaddi tournament is due to be hosted from October 1 to 5 but the Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Muzzaffarpur, Bihar while the All India Inter University Archery Tournament is due to be held from October 13 to 17 at HN Gujarat University, Patan in Gujarat and the Guru Kashi University, Bathinda, Punjab.

Colleges or institutions affiliated to the Manipur University may take part in the tournament, said Assistant Director of Sports, MU and the secretary of the Manipur University Sports Committee.

The last date of entry submission is September 16 (till 1 pm) and the managers' meeting and the draw of the fixtures will be held on the same day from 2 pm, it said.

Fencing Trial on September 22

The Department of Sports, MU also informed that it will be conducting MU Fencing team trial on September 22 for participation in the All India Inter University Fencing Tournament (2025-26) to be hosted by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab from October 13 to 17.The trial selection begins at 11 am at Dr Kamal Indoor Hall, MU, Canchipur, said the Assistant Director of Sports, MU in a memorandum issued in this regard.

Students intending to participate in the trial selection may submit their applications to the office of the Department of Sports through Principals/Directors/ Heads of the Departments concerned on or before 2pm of September 19, the memorandum said.

Age proof certificate/HSL Certificate; HSSL Certificate; Reading Certificate; latest identity card issued by college or institute concerned; certificate/ marksheet for passing the last examination; Aadhaar Card; receipts for payment of University Sports Fee of the institution and 2 recent passport size photographs should be attached with the application, it said.
