Imphal, October 28 2008: AS THE State Inter School Basketball Tournament 2008-09 for Under 17 Boys and Girls organised by Youth Affairs and Sports Department, government of Manipur entered its second day, Imphal West and Bishnupur have entered final of girls category while semi final matches for boys category are yet to be played.

In today's matches girls category, Bishnupur beat Kangpokpi, Imphal West beat Imphal Est and Bishnupur beat Thoubal.

In the first match, Bishnupur beat Kangpokpi 24-4 .

Memisana of Bishnupur scored 16 points while Bijeta scored six points.

Boinu of Kangpokpi could scored only four points.

The second match was played between Imphal East and Imphal West.

Jany of Imphal East scored four points while K Bijeta scored five points.

S Malemnganbi of Imphal West scored 10 points while M Shashilata and S Shai scored four points each.

The match concluded with Imphal West winning.

In today's last match of girls category, Bishnupur beat Thoubal 44-1 .

Memisana of Bishnupur scored 19 points, Anjana scored 10 points, Bijeta scored seven points, Juli scored four points while Nandita and Uma scored two points each.

The only point of Thoubal was scored by Nanaobi.

In boys category, Imphal West beat Kangpokpi 44-16.I George, S Agu and Ksh Rajesh of Imphal West scored 13, nine and seven points respectively.

Paogouthang of Kangpokpi scoored six points while Mangminthang and Muminlen scored four poinst each.

In the second match Thoubal beat Senapati 32-7.Romen, Biteshor and Herojit of Thoubal scored 10, six and four points respectively while S Kabipa of Senapati scored the seven points alone.

In the last league match of group B, Thoubal beat Kangpokpi 33-16 .

Paogouthang and Mangminthang scored 15 and one pointgs respectively, while Arundas, Romen and Herojit of Thoubal scored 13, 10 and seven points respectively.

In todays last match of group A, Imphal East beat Churachandpur 64-21.Sundar and Jackson of Imphal East scored 17 and 13 points respectively while Benjamin and Mangpe of CCpur scored four points each.

Group A winner Imphal East and group B runner Thoubal will fight for the final match in the first semi final match tomorrow at 7 am.

In the second semi final which will start from 8 am tomorrow, group A runner Churaschandpur and group B winner Imphal West will fight for the final.

The final match for girls category which will feature Imphal West and Bishnupur will begin at 1 pm tomorrow while final match of boys category will begin at 2 pm tomorrow.
