KMAC crowned overall champions in State Level Kid and Mini Archery Championship

Imphal, December 27 2022: Kha Manipur Archery Club (KMAC)-Langmeidong were crowned overall team champions in the 5th Kid and 14th Mini State Archery Championships organised by Khoisnam Sarma Devi, Commandant 9 IRB (Mahilla) Khuman Lampak under the aegis of Manipur Archery Association.

The felicitation programme was graced by Kh Sarma Devi, Ph Bijenkumar, retired Joint Director Motor Vehicle and president of Manipur Archery Association and P Noren, Subedar 9th IRB as presidium members.

KMAC-Langmeidong amassed 6 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals to claim the top honour as VAA with 4 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals finished runners up.

In the 10+10 m Kids Indian Round Girls event, KMAC swept the medals as Elangbam Bhumika finished first with 352 points, Laishram Hemabai scored 351 points to secure silver and Moirangthem Lanchenbi finished third with 351 points.

In the boys individual 10+10 m event, Mahesh Elangbam (357 pts) and Elangbam Henthoiba (356 pts) of KMAC finished first and second as Konthoujam Hanson of YAC finished third with 349 points.

In kid's team event, KMAC's Mahesh Elangbam, Elangbam Henthoiba and Senjam Victor claimed the gold medal with 1046 points as YAC and LMLCC teams settled for silver and bronze medals.

In girl kids individual 15+15 m recurve event, Sweety Ngangbam of VAA won the gold medal shooting 307 points as Purvika Akhom of AAA finished second with 253 points to settle for the silver medal.

In the boy kids 15+15 m recurve event, VAA swept the medals with Yaikhomba Thangjam (313 pts), Guruaribam Sylesh Sharma (305 pts) and Paonam Johnson (394 pts) finishing first, second and third.

In 15+15 m girl kids Compound event, Laiphangbam Laxmi of PC won the gold with 295 points as Zuventus Khaidem of VAA won the boys gold with 354 points and AAA's Lanngamba (347 pts) and Chitresh Hajarimayum (333 pts) won silver and bronze medals.

Mini Boys and Girls competitions

Yumnam Sanamanbi of ESU bagged the 50+50 m recurve event gold for mini girls shooting 635 points as Maibam Thaja of BCAC (552 pts) and Khumbongmayum Abena of VAA (527 pts) finished second and third.

In the 50+50 m mini boys recurve event, Bikram Moirangthem of VAA won the gold medal with 615 points as Lamyanba Soibam of AAA (612 pts) and Hidangmayum Bibison of AAA (598 pts) finished second and third.

In the 50+50 m compound girls event, Thanjam Jeshica of PC bagged the gold with 553 points as her compatriot Yaikhomba Thongam finished second with 459 points.

Tanita Konsam of AAA (426 pts) finished third in the competition.

In the 50+50 m compound boys event, AAA's Kongbrailatpam Punanda secured the gold medal with 608 points as VAA's Heikham Biju (602 pts) and Yumnam Lanthoiba (599 pts) finished second and third.
