Manipur Fencing Association names State team for Cadet Nationals

Imphal, April 27 2026: The Manipur Fencing Association has announced the State team who will be participating at the 21st Cadet National Fencing Championship 2026 scheduled to be held from May 23 to 28 in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand.

The fencers who were shortlisted in the State team are as follows.

Foil Boys: Tamnganba Toijam, Lamyanba Konsam, Ningombam Thoihensana Meitei and Athokpam Henthoisana.

Epee Boys: Takhellambam Kadamba Mangang, Puyam Arjun Singh, Jaceyon Thingujam and Laikhuram Deepu.

Sabre Boys: Thongam Kishorjit Singh, Richtopper Ningombam, Ngangkham Mangangba and Kangabam Jeriyul Meitei.

Foil Girls: Rashina Naorem, Naorem Joshlin, Ngasepam Merina Devi and Chungkham Puspa.

Epee Girls: Minarva Yumnam, Ningombam Bindiya, Piyanganbi Naoroibam and Gurumayum Keniya Devi.

Sabre Girls : Aheibam Florina Devi, Payal Ningombam, Konsam Yaipharembi and Huningshumbam Nirupama Chanu.

The selected players will undergo a 3-week coaching camp conducted at Khuman Lampak Fencing Hall from April 29 to May 19 ahead of the National championship, said the Manipur Fencing Association in a selection order issued in this regard.

Further the association also urged the coaches - Foil: W Ibomcha Singh, O Savaraj, Th Rajeshwor, W Thoibi and H Bichu; Epee: H Suranjoy, A Saolin, S Jayanta Singh, Lemba Hijam and RK Rabika; and Sabre: L Surjit, Chingsomba Ningomba, Th Diana Devi and A Rupachandra Sharma to report to secretary of the association on April 29 by 5 am at Khuman Lampak Fencing Hall.
