Kakching 1st Divn League : Francis nets thrice in AIFA's 9-1 demolition of IYA

Imphal, September 23 2025: Francis scored a treble as All Irengband Football Association (AIFA), Irengband overwhelmed Ideal Youth Association (IYA), Kakching by 9-1 goals in the Group B opening match of the 20th Kishorkumar Memorial 1 st Division Football League this afternoon at DS A ground, Kakching.

AIFA got off to a flying start and raced to a 4-0 lead as Francis (2', 39') scored two of his three goals including the opener and Hemanta (12') and Amarjit (45') contibuted a goal each.

AIFA picked up the thread and further swelled the lead in the second half with Francis scoring his third in the 47th minute before Renedy joined the party and made it 6-0 after 57 minutes.

IYA's condition further deteriorated with Johnson scoring AIFA's seventh goal in the 73rd minute.

IYA ended their goal drought late in the 85th minute courtesy of Farish but Manithoi retained the 7 goal advantage for AIFA by adding a goal in the 89th minute before Johnson scored his second goal at the stroke of the 90th minute to seal the 9-1 win.

KYWAC, Wabagai Kadajit will play WALYDA, Wabagai in the next match (Group A) on September 25 .
