State Wrestling C'ship K Boiton wins 41 kg category freestyle gold for U15 boys

Imphal, June 21 2026: K Boiton of Thoubal clinched the 41 kg freestyle gold for U15 boys in the ongoing State Wrestling Championship at SAI STC, Khuman Lampak.

Boiton beat Laishram Nganba of SAI in the final to seal the gold medal today as Thoubal's Okram Khaba and Abinash Takhellambam shared the bronze medal podium.

The 44 kg freestyle gold for U15 boys meanwhile went to Baskar Soram of SAI who beat T Arjunkumar of NSA in the final while Punshiba Thounaojam of SAI beat NSA's Busker Thounaojam for the 52 kg category gold; Naorem Devaraj of Thoubal beat N Devadutta of Imphal East for the 68 kg category title.

Sanamacha Chanu of SAI meanwhile seal the U-15 girls' 58 kg category Freestyle gold beating Karam Lingjel of SAI in the final as Thokchom Ameriya of NSA bagged the 66 kg category gold by beating SAI's Maibam Thadoi in the final.

Suchitra of NSA (42 kg) and Thoisana Laishram of SAI (46 kg) also won freestyle gold medals for U-15 girls.

H Venus of RCC, meanwhile beat compatriot L Tikendrajit to seal the 80 kg Greco Roman gold for U-17 boys.

RCC's L Punshiba and Ng Rahul shared the bronze medal podium in this category.

The day also saw G Devabrata beat N Bishokumar for the U17 Boys' 92 kg category Greco Roman gold as I Robert of Thoubal beat compatriot S Mahabir for the 61 kg category gold.

Ph Meraj Alam, on the other hand, clinched the U-17 boys' 65 kg category Freestyle gold by defeating L Renedy in the final.
