Imphal, December 19 2008: AS THE 24th Manipur State Taekwondo Cham-pionship 2008 organised by All Manipur Tae-kwondo Association, has concluded today at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, United Taekwondo Association (UTA) has emerged overall team champion.

The closing ceremony was presided over by Y Khemchand, President of All Manipur Taekwondo Association.

Dr L Chandramani, President Manipur People's Political Party, Former deputy chief minister of Manipur and Dr I Ibohanbi, MLA Oinam Assembly Constituency graced the function as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

OTA with 312 points won the overall team champion's title.

SAI bagged the runners up title with 202 points.

In today's matches Th Boy won gold in sub junior boys' bantam weight category.

T Premjit in senior boy's bantam weight, K Lenin in junior boys' bantam weight, M Romita in junior girls' bantam weight, S Anita of UTA in senior girls' bantam weight and Ronika of BBA in sub junior girls' bantam weight categories won gold.

UTA scored 61 points in sub junior boys', 48 points in junior boys', 46 points in sub junior girls, 53 points in junior girls, 31 points in senior boys' and 73 points in senior girls' categories and won the title of team champion.

On the other hand, Sports Authority (SAI) of India scored 80 points in junior boys, 31 poinst in senior boys and 91 points and won the runners up's title.
