Sanjenbam FC, Sekta-B, FC Lamlai, YPB-B in quarter finals

Imphal, June 19 2019: Sanjenbam FC, Sekta-B, FC Lamlai, YPB-B reached the quarter finals of the 1st Ngangom Ranjan Memorial Trophy 2019 being organised Young Boys Pukhao since June 9 with 28 teams clubbed into 8 groups taking part in it.

Sanjenbam FC made it to the quarter finals after a 2-0 win against BSU Nongpok Sanjenbam in the first pre-quarter final match of the tournament staged today.

The two goals were scored by L Johnson and L Premjit respectively in the 12th and the 33rd minute.

Meanwhile in the second pre-quarter final match, Sekta-B beat SCY, Yumnam Khunou by 4-3 goals via penalty shoot out after 2-2 draw.

S Bitamkumar scored both the goals for SCY (16', 35') during the regulation time while Salam Thoi (17') and Sapam Basanta (41') scored to draw level.

YBP-B, Pukhao on the other hand entered the quarter final winning a toss against SKY, Sinam Kom after the game was unable to settle even after penalty shoot-out.

The scores were levelled at 7-7 after the shoot-out as the normal time score read 1-1.Nelson (14') scored for the SKY while Th Geet scored for YPB-B, Pukhao.

In the last quarter final match, M Aboy hit thrice (15', 27', 40') to earn FC Lamlai a 3-2 win over OFA, Pungdongbam.

Both the goals for OFA were scored by Pramesor (25', 37') .
