Manipur Judo Assn flags off State team for Sub-Junior Nationals

Imphal, January 18 2025: The Manipur Judo Association today flagged off the State team for Sub-Junior National Judo Championships 2024-25 which officially began today at Pune, Maharashtra.

The players who have reached Pune for the said championship.

State boys who will be competing for top honours in the National level event include W Luhenba (+25 to -30 kg), Th Vivek (+30 to -35 kg), M Abijit (+35 to -40 kg), N Jayananda (+40 to -45 kg), M Surjit (+45 to -50 kg), M Niketon (+50 to -55 kg), NK Rakesh (+55 to -60 kg), L Daniel (+60 to -66 kg) and AK Korouwangba (+66 kg) .

The team are led by Ch Karishman and Ch Tomba as coach and manager.

The girls team meanwhile include Kh Malemnganbi (+23 to -28 kg), Naomi Thokchom (+32 to -36 kg), Th Roshni (+36 to -40 kg), Sh Kananbala (+40 to -44 kg), A Chinglem Nganbi (+44 to -48 kg), Th Lanchenbi (+48 to -52 kg), Ng Linthoi Chanu (+52 to -57 kg) and W Anandi (+57 kg).

Th Arun is leading the girls' team.
