DFA Moirang Super Division Football League : SYC open winning account with 3-1 beating of ELSA

Imphal, May 15 2024: Leivon Jesse Kom scored a brace as SYC, Sagang beat ELSA, Naranseina 3-1 to open their winning account in four matches of the 4th K Babu Memorial Super Division Football League organised by DFA Moirang at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School ground.

The tournament resumed this afternoon after it was forced to halt due to inclement weather conditions.

The first half of the match ended goalless despite efforts from both ends to open the account but ELSA broke the deadlock through L Roshan Singh ten minutes into the second half.

The lead was cancelled five minutes later by Leivon Jesse Kom who also netted his second in the 65th minute to complete his double before Thangminlun hit the final nail to the coffin in the 77th minute.

It was the first win for SYC who had drawn twice and lost one in the last three games while it was third straight loss for ELSA after the first game victory.

PYDA, Kwakta will play MARD Club, Moirang tomorrow in the next match.
