Imphal, March 15 2022: MPSC posted their first win in two Group B matches of the ongoing 1st MNCA Super Plate Tournament as KSDO, Kiyamgei and PTCC, Patsoi returned to winning ways today.

Having lost their opening encounter to RULE, Malom, MPSC rode on briliant bowling performances by pacers Maibam Bijoykumar (4/22 in 6 overs), Indraban S Koijam (3/26 in 8 overs which contain 4 maidens) and Sarangthem Shanker (2/3 in 2.2 overs) to seal a 9 wicket win against RCA, Lilong today at Langthabal Public Ground.

Opting to bat first, RCA bundled out for a meagre 69 in 20.2 as MPSC bowlers did a commendable job.

Aziz Mirza (14) emerged the highest run getter of the team followed by Bm Sabakhan (13), Imran Khan (10) and Md Aqeel (10) as the other batters fell cheaply.

In reply, MPSC took only 16 overs to post a winning 72 for 1 courtesy Gelson Singh's 24 and unbeaten knocks by Sagolshem Sunil (32) and Potsangbam Bonem Singh (12) .

Maibam Bijoykumar (4/22) who led the MPSC bowling attack was adjudged man of the match.

Elsewhere at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Hamza Rehan produced an all round performance to hand KSDO a 3 wicket win over Muvanlai.

Muvanlai, who had registered a win against PSC in the previous encounter, were the toss winners today and opted to bat first.

Hamza however wreaked havoc to dismantle the batting line up and Muvanlai eventually slumped to a lowly total of 103 all out within 31.1 overs.

Khaikhotinlal with 21 runs was the highest scorer for Muvanlai before KSDO relied on Muhammand Shamir Khan's 49 ball half century to earn their fourth win in five Group A matches of the tourney.

Hamza also contributed 27 runs off 22 balls to steer KSDO to victory and claimed the man of the match accolade for his allround performance.

Meanwhile at Model Hr Secondary and Oriental College ground, PTCC, Patsoi stacked up a modest total of 200 runs for 9 and held PSC, Khuyathong to 92 runs for the second win in four Group A matches.

Naorem Victor (31), Sohail Akram (30), Mangshatabam Veekash (23), Andyroshan Mandingbam (21) and Loukrakpam (20 not out) made significant scores in the PTCC innings which saw Khumukcham Romesh Singh of PSC bagged four wickets for 55 runs.

Laimayum Prasantajit Sharma (2/25) and Yengkhom Bhomendro (2/10) also managed two wickets each in the PTCC innings before they were skittled out for 92 in 30.3 overs.

Sadananda Okram was the pick of PTCC bowlers as he fetched 4 wickets for 22 runs in 7.3 overs while Loukrakpam Anao snatched three wickets for 17 runs in 6 overs which contained two maiden overs.

Deepak and Dominic Moiranthem of PTCC also added teeth to the bowling attack by clinching a wicket apiece.

Loukrakpam Anao of PTCC who displayed an all round performance (20 runs and 3 wicket haul) was named man of the match.
