Imphal, February 15 2025: ASUFII will square off against SJC, Salam in title clash of the 15th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial Football Tournament 2024-25 .

The match is scheduled on February 17 and will begin at 12.30 pm.

In the first semi-final match of the 16-team knock-out tournament, ASUFII edged out Juvenile by 3-1 goals to book their place in the final.

ASUFII got off to a bright start stringing a series of runs against the rivals and it was Eloziio Kayina who handed the the lead 9 minutes into the game before Sorormi doubled the advantage after 39 minutes.

ASUFII continued to press their rivals after the restart as well and raced to a 3-0 lead thanks to Suraj after 79 minutes .

Juvenile managed to pull back a goal late in the 86th minute through Swamichandra but their comeback effort did not pay off as ASUFII tightened up their defence towards the end and time slipped too quickly.

Later in the day, SJC blanked Pathap FC 3-0 as S Dhiren (67'), W Alex (72') and T Donaldo (73') were on target after the two sides entered into the break goalless.

Notably, the winners will walk away Rs 3,00,000 richer with a trophy while the runners up will receive Rs 2,00,000 and a trophy.

The tournament also carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each for highest goal scorer, best goalkeeper, best player of the tournament and man of the final match.
