Jupiter Ashem scoops four gold medals at Imphal West Shooting Competition

Imphal, August 14 2024: The closing cum prize distribution function of the 12th Imphal West District Shooting Competition 2023-24 will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Khuman Lampak Shooting Range, Imphal.

Jupiter Ashem set a record by winning four gold medals (jr men's sports pistol, jr men's standard pistol events, men's centre fire pistol events & jr men's centre fire events) during the competition held from August 7 to 12, 2024 .

Other gold medallists of the competition were Telphomshang Khaling (men's peep sight air rifle), Thoungamba Thiyam (jr men's peep sight air rifle), Maibam Paikhomba Singh (youth men's peep sight air rifle), Ngashepam Sonia Devi (women's peep sigh air rifle), Leishang Luxmi Devi (jr women's peep sight air rifle), Aanannya Lairenjam (youth women's air pistol), Pukhrambam Rabichandra Singh (men's air pistol), Tamlennganbi Thounaojam (women's air pistol), Vedaant Nongthombam (men's air rifle), Pukhrambam Bidyalaxmi Devi (women's air rifle), RK Sanahal Singh (men's free rifle prone), Dhanaraj Thokchom (sub youth men's peep sight air rifle), Loktongbam Tulika (sub youth women's peep sight air rifle), Soraisham Nicolash Khaba Singh (sub youth men's air pistol), Rajkumari Sweety (sub youth women's air pistol), Hijam Inunganbi Devi (women's rifle prone), Ngashepam Sonia Devi (jr women's rifle prone), Thongbam Jesusen (men's open sight rifle prone), La-buktongbam Minerva (women's sports pistol), Naorem Khandajit, Nongthombam Kreetchand Singh (men's licence pistol/revolver), N Birendra Kishore Singh (sr master men's open sight rifle prone) and Nongthombam Ranveer (master men's free rifle prone) .

The closing cum prize distribution function of the 12th IW District Shooting Competition will be attended by T Phulen Meitei, director Youth Affairs & Sports Manipur, Dr Taorem Yaikhomba Khuman, managing director Angel Children Hospital & Vaccination Centre, and Hijam Tikendrajit Singh, president IWDRA, as chief guest, guest of honour and president, respectively.
