Senapati, September 11 2024: The 2nd Division District Football League 2024 kicked off at Astro Turf Ground, Senapati, with 16 teams competing in the tournament.

RS Abel, advisor to Senapati District Olympic Association (SDOAM), opened the tournament.

RS Abel, who is the founder of both the Senapati District Badminton Association and the Hill Districts Badminton Association, Manipur, currently serves as an advisor to Indian Red Cross Society, Senapati District, and is a member of the State Management Committee of the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur.

The opening ceremony was attended by various social leaders.

Sixteen teams from across the district are competing in the league, including New Generation FC, Taphou FC, KMZNN FC, United Kirat FC, Koziiriii FC, KSD Ningthoupham FC, TNK Mist Born FC, Falcon FC, Katamlung FC, Sagarmaatha Gorkha FC, Laini FC, Makhrelui FC, Fulloh FC, Kakramaibuh FC, Taphou United FC, and Katomei FC.

The event is organised by the District Sports Association in collaboration with the Senapati District Olympic Association, Manipur (SDOAM), and the tournament will conclude on September 17 .
