SWC stroll, LMLCC eke out win in DSA Trophy

Imphal, September 10 2024: SWC and LMLCC registered contrasting wins in Tuesday's action of the 18th DSA Trophy Invitation Football Tournament 2024 underway at DSA Kakching playground.

SWC fought back from a goal down to thump TWYLA 5-1, with A Bishan scoring a hat-trick.

M Rajen gave TWYLA a promising start with a 31st-minute goal, only to be cancelled out by A Bisan's equaliser in the 39th minute for SWC, who then took control with a goal from S Borish in the 59th minute.

Bishan added his second goal in the 71st minute and completed his hat-trick in the 83rd minute, before L Suranjoy sealed the 5-1 victory in stoppage time.

In the other match, LMLCC overcame a deficit to secure a 2-1 win against SDO.

SDO initially took the lead with a goal in the 25th minute courtesy of H Jack, but LMLCC drew level in the 55th minute through M Victor.

An own goal by SDO in the 66th minute ultimately handed LMLCC the victory.
